Actually, I just started reading this, and you were my first choice. So, if I was here you would have been on page 1.
I would formally like to nominate Doug, if no one else has (I still have like 15 pages of this to read, so I hope I'm not steping in something here).

Aw, thanks, Brian!  I had a change of heart after that, and officially threw my hat in the ring. I've been quasi-modding this thread today to practice. 
Seriously, though, I'll be putting up a poll (if I can...I've never tried before) later tonight with the names of the nominees for voting.

I'd say if your name appears on the top posters for the main thread's list, you get a say in who mods here. That seems the fairest way to determine it.

and just to set the record straight (if you can in this thread)... i didn't mean any offense to you Doug when I said Merl, and Mike for the mods... You would make a great Mod... I was just suggesting them because they have been here from day one... I hope you didn't take it as me not wanting you to be one of the Mods... i didn't mean it that way...
