Women of Dynamite: Dejah Thoris by Frank Cho

Hyrkania’s most lethal warrior stands approximately 11.5″ in height upon a 5.5″ wide base. Hand-painted on cold-cast porcelain with ABS details, this statue comes individually numbered as part of a limited edition run, and is packaged in a four-color box with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Princess of Mars measures 12″ high (to the tip of her sword) and 4.5″ deep, with a 6″ base. Hand-painted on cold-cast porcelain with ABS details, each statue is individually numbered as part of a Limited Edition run, and comes packaged in a four-color box with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The statue will be released in September carrying a price tag of $189.99 each.

Beautiful prototype.

If that's what they would send out I would buy.

I have no trust in this company.

nice one...but would be good if its just not another hot air out of nowhere.

wait...another WoD release when they haven't even fixed the first Vampirella botch up? not to mention the Turner Purgatori is nowhere in sight and even Nick at LDS said he doesn't even know at this point if it will even be released.

It's a great line of statues. I haven't bit yet but I've liked them all so far. I'd even try to snag a Vampi and repaint it if they fix the production.

I can see where this is based on Frank Cho and the sculpt is well done. But she would be a bit more "meatier" if accurately reflecting Frank Cho's work. I might preorder, but I am concerned about the production quality. Probably will preorder from BBTS so I could cancel if Dynamite continues to have quality issues.

This reminds me that I have a Dejah Thoris print I bought from Frank at comicon several years ago. Need to think about what I going to do with it.

You bring up a good point. Dejah should have wider hips, thicker thighs to truly honor Frank Cho's signature style.

That being said, I wonder how Dynamite will even capture the fine details of her jewelry against her skin. Will they be separate accessories to add later?

I can't imagine Nick Barrucci is paying attention to this type of minutiae.

how you guys can critique her thighs I'll never know. When I look at her all I can think of are ice cream cones

Have any other dynamite statues come out decent yet? For Dejah I was really interested in the Frazetta ARH piece but no mo happeningo
