1:3 Akuma Poll
Everyone knows we have a bad-ass 1:3 Akuma statue coming.
Do you think we should do a Shin Akuma variant on it ?
It would be the same sculpture, with a different face expression and different color scheme, but everything else will mostly be the same. We arent going to make dramatic sculptural changes.
Originally I didnt want to do it because I felt putting two $800 statues up for pre-order at once was too hard on the completist collectors wallet, but Im getting so many people emailing and asking that we do it, that Im re-considering.
Id probably limit it to 150 pcs.
Its the only way a 1:3 Shin will ever happen as if we ever do another 1:3 Akuma it will be Oni style.

Cant do that because the factory wont want to do a small 150 pc order unless its piggybacked on the larger Akuma order
They really complained about Darkness and I promised not to do it again. You wouldnt believe the pressure I got to raise the ES to 250.

Nah. Just do one Akuma. If people want a shin akuma they can customize their regular 1/3 akuma.

Its possible I could wait a month between pre-orders, but not 6 months. but then it interferes with an other SF pre-order have planned for the following month.

Honestly Jerry, I don't think you can go wrong either way with this decision.
In fact, I say make the Shin. It'll up your profits and just place another massively collectible piece on the market.
Use the additional proceeds to help fund a niche character. Like say, hmmmm Hugo!
