90% of the ones you mentioned above I've never even heard of, and I was a huge gamer back in 90's+
I'm not sure they would sell very well as most of those characters are from one off games. That's probably why they're sticking to the franchises that had many sequels.

Well they seem to be sticking to Street Fighter and Tekken. The two major and basically only surviving fighting games. There are a few obscure ones that are barely popular here. They did make a new King of Fighters but I didn't play that one. I'll give it a try one day. But they took Mai and didn't care about making her look like everything is about to fall out.
Only a handful of the titles on my list didn't have multiple games.
