Some New Art

So in the last month or two I've been to a couple of small events, plus bought myself an OA page. Well, here they are. (I don't have a large scanner, so all I have is photographs, sometimes not well framed).

Here's a page from the Dr Horrible Oneshot written by Zack Whedon and drawn by Joëlle Jones.



I went to a couple of local events recently, the first was called 'The Home Cooked Comics Festival'. It was pretty small and sadly didn't have a artist alley, but I did meet a cool guy called Tom Tung who did a great catwoman for me.



My friend Kara runs a comic website/blog as well as draws zines. She was nice enough to draw me a self portrait.



I also attended a zine fair called 'Festival of the Photocopier', it was run by Sticky Institute. I got two jam pages by a heap of local artists.

Hey Argonus, I'm more of a comic/comic art guy than statue collector, so I stick to this neck of the wood. But nice to meet you.

I really enjoyed the dr horrible comics they put out, and was pretty happy I was able to pick that page up.

Yeah, that Catwoman is pretty great. I stumbled across Tom drawing and asked if he could do me a quick sketch. It always blows me away when people are willing to donate their time to draw for you. And he did his prelim work in green pen, which was pretty cool.
