DCBService.com royally screwed me over on this one. After having Supergirl in my pull-box for a full month, they took her out before our shipment went out. When I contacted them they told me that they gave it to someone else that was supposedly "ahead of me" because they were shorted. I find that to be bull, because if it was supposed to go to someone "ahead of me" then it shouldn't have been in my pull-box for all of April. I think they stole mine because they didn't want to have to ship us a second box with just her in it, and gave it to someone else, figuring they'd just ship mine out from their next allotment from Diamond and ship it at the end of May.
Well...Got the email yesterday that they just auto-refunded her and I told me I wouldn't be getting her, because she was "canceled by the distributor." My anger was palpable. So, before she went out of stock everywhere, I got one of the few they still had on Amazon, for quite a bit more money than what I had her pre-ordered for from DCBS. I am not pleased.
It was free one-day shipping from Amazon, so she was here when I got home from work today. Boy, you guys undersold the mothball stink. She had a cloud of it before I even opened the actual statue box, then once opened, I almost barfed from the stench. It's bad. She's gorgeous, but stinks to high heaven. That's the worst smell of any statue I've gotten. The sculpt is beautiful and the paint looks really nice. Her eyes have a smidgen of derp, but overall really nice. And I love that she has a unique base. I don't get why more of them don't have these, it's not even a complicated one, but still unique to her.
And this nullifies any good things I had to say about DCBS before, they are garbage now.
