fading?

For the first time, I have my own office. I was going to bring my Bowen Planet Hulk statue in but it would be on a window sill and get sunlight. Any issues with fading of the paint job?

Sunlight is killer for everything. Within a week, you'll likely start to see a difference.

Fade the paint, degrade the paint, cause the paint to flake.

Just say no and keep it totally covered with only lights without UV.

Intensity matters too. Any Sunlight is just too harsh on pigments.

I was posting on another forum about my new office and how I have nice big windows in it. Unanimously everyone said I should be getting very heavy curtains to block out the sun. So I would and am trusting the masses.

Kinda defeats the purpose of that nice office with the big windows then?

The view, and displaying art that you value, are fairly mutually exclusive though. So everyone's right - unless the art is disposable to you.

Dang it that's what I was afraid of. Oh well. Maybe I can bring in some shelving out of direct light

I wouldn't chance it. I've been tempted to bring nicer items into my work office but I always chicken out and bring cheap toys that I don't have to worry about.
