I agree with you on the QC side.

Unlike Akuma, Raiden was not fully inspected by Jerry and his team when the statue arrived in the US. Fortunately, my Akuma came out great, and that's because it was inspected in-house and possibly fixed any imperfections they saw.

So far, every time I have received a statue directly from the factory, I seem to find an issue...and they are not minor. They are glaringly obvious which doesn't give me a lot of confidence with the QC on the factory side. The factories need better supervision.

I've received quite a few PCS statues and I've only had an issue twice, and one was shipping damage (leg broke smoke).

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Nothing new to report.
I had 2 seamstresses lined up and both bailed right when we were finalizing the work.
I've been super busy finishing my basement. Hard work. Statue room takes precedent over statues for the room. For now. I'll be in full swing end of this month and hopefully I have some good updates. I'm listing the job on a website for freelance. Hopefully that helps.

I do not want to get into the debate on whether the production piece looks the same as the proto. As for me, I will keep him as I could imagine he would look great displayed side by side with Sub Zero and Reptile. Yellow, blue and green that would be a sight to behold.

I think it's all going to come down to whether you are satisfied on the production piece or not, it seems like the few who have been lucky to get either of them already are split between happy and not happy, it'll be interesting to see how it goes once all of them ship out.

I think at this point some have made up their mind before even seeing them.

Stunning pics btw, that last shot, man what a line up and i think Scorp more than holds his own with the others....and i think you're right all 3 of them is gonna be amazing.
