Cheers - undeniably a classic sitcom that holds up even today and inspired other greats like Frasier and Wings. The creators and producers were truly talented individuals.

Speaking of Frasier.....is anyone enjoying the new incarnation of the show? I am 8 episodes in and with the exception of one episode that also starred Bebe Neuwirth as his ex wife Lilith, they have all been pretty mediocre and forgettable.

I had much higher hopes but the magic of the original is missing.

I tried but I didn't last long. Like you said, the original is better. IMO when we say "magic" what we're talking about is originality/creativity. Something movies and tv suffer from quite a bit.

Speaking of radio, I'll have to re-visit News Radio soon.

I think the new Frasier is fun enough. The original struck gold with so many talented actors. The new ones are talented as well but just not the same level. I hope it continues because Kelsey Grammer is just so talented I cant help but enjoy his presence on screen.
