Panting Paper Clay.

I just discovered the joys of making figurines with paper clay. I make 4-5 inch figures like the A&W bear etc. I let the figure dry and sand paper it smooth. I'm extremely pleased with the end result however I'm not happy with how it looks after painting it with acrylic paint. I can see the brush strokes. Is there a way to paint or a type of paint to use to make the paint job look as smooth as possible?
Thanks
Franco

To make the paint job as smooth as possible you'll need an airbrush. If you want to stick with brush painting you'll need to thin the paint a bit and do a lot of thin even coats building up the color in layers. Vallejo paints are excellent acrylics and are decently thin already.
