Flat coat spray can

I finally ran out of my dull coat spray. I had bought the cans at a local 5/10 store
.
I knew they were going out of bizness a yr in advance so i had stocked up on their last 3 cans.

I finally ran out of my supply and i cant never find a true clear coat.

I must have tried 4 diff brands that say flat clear coat and they all have a shine to when it dries.
I wish I had more of what i used but all it had was a paper blue label saying flat clear coat.

Even though it was some generic spray coat it worked the best.

I need to drop a couple of clear coats on a AphroditeIX that I am doing for her.

Much thanx, bros

I tried the krylon but it does have a shine to it, the best i can do with it , is just give it a light misting.

I will give testors a try.

thanx

if you have testors dull coat in the old black label cans, they are the old chemical mix. The new white cans are a new mix, they had to be pulled from production cause in america there was a chemical that had to be taken out.

Least this is what the guy at the hobby store near me told me. I still see the same thing, just not as potent in fumes.

Kit builders magazine sells a flat kote that you can push thru a airbrush. Gives a nice coat and will take away shine from paints.

Thanx for all of your great advice . I managed to get a testors dull coat and it is even better than my old stash of generic cans.

It works amazing and is such a controlled fine mist from it.
I have to pick up more. I was lucky and only found one whole can on all of ebay.

I wasnt worried about my kits because once i paint them they go on display but the ones i do for friends will get handled alot and i want to seal them in with a couple of nice coats of dull finish.
