Well, they apparently really like that priest...
I enjoyed the episode as well. This is a good series so far.

LOL - That was indeed a What The Hell? moment. "Join us Priest". I'm sure there's gotta be some historical basis. Skandinavians are known for their lack of hang-ups in that department, to this day.

The first four episodes are available on The History Channel's website.
We caved and watched Episode 4 tonight - it was good, though I had to wonder what the English soldiers were thinking during that battle on the beach. Hey guys: ever heard of flanking?

Just set my DVR to record the first 3 episodes. They're running a marathon this Sunday so that'll get me caught up.

Also, you'd think that the word might have spread that a coastal monastery very near by had been sacked with all killed. I would have been a bit more wary on my approach if I were the English.
Love her, by the way.

Oh yes indeed.
The most recent episode was very good. I LOVED the scene where Ragnar ran back to the farm and took out some of the Earl's men. That was some superb fight coordination... absolutely brutal!
Question: if all Ragnar needed to do was challenge the Earl to personal combat, why didn't this go down earlier?
