Chronicle - behind the scenes requests
Hi all,
As per Paul's post in the Anubis thread I'm starting a new one here in case anyone is specifically interested in seeing how Paul and his team work.

As for repairs we had one collector in AU receive his cain and it arrived with a small break on one of the arms. He is sending it to us for repairs and we are sending it back.
If we can repair your items I'll try my best to do so. If you are will ing to ship us the part, we are willing to fix it for free and ship it back...
Just ask us before you call your local distributor. Our stuff is sooooo limited it may be out of stock...

Personally I'd love to see you guys at work on the painting - particularly of Anubis (and perhaps giving some step by step tips if possible). I think that's a real work of art (and a big part of why I am getting it).
Tbh I'd just love to see some vids of the various props etc that you have in the workshop. Love seeing anything from the movies that I love.
Also any of the other processes that you've used e.g. molding and casting of props.
Anything that uses thinking outside the box as it were to get props or sculpts into their final form. I find it all very interesting.
whatever you come up with will be interesting to all Im sure, thanks Paul.

Cool... I always take great interest in seeing how others go about painting things, so I'd like to see that also. Anubis does have a real nice paint ap.
Secondly, I'd love to see how you go about getting these things to be as close to the original studio models as possible. Fon Davis recreating the Rodger young for example. Basically anything cool would be appreciated by me.

Just to be clear we didn't recreate the Rodger Young, we had access to the ILM molds and Fon made us a new set of masters from those molds..

That was the answer I was hoping for, I wasn't sure whether it was from the actual molds or not.... Excellent!! general behind the scenes production stuff will be great to see then.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I would love to see anything about the restoration you did on the Stargate helmets.
Even if it is something that wont necessarily be a part of the replicas you will be offering.
Just to see some close up details of the original props, how the insides worked. The mechanics of the moving head, fans, the way the eyes on Horus worked...
I'd love to see some great, high res images and video of that stuff.

I would be interested in seeing any behind the scenes production videos that Chronicle can muster - Stargate helms, Cain, TG 1/4 and 1/1 Endo, TG 1/1 Bust, and Flash Gordon's War Rocket Ajax to name a few.
