The proclamation that it's a mixed media statue, with miniature rubber goggles and metal striker knife accessories pushed me over the fence. I put my order in!

Thanks for that. So cool to see a company go all out on something like this. Given the price point its obviously not for everyone but from a material & fabrication standpoint this piece really is on another level.

Indeed HB. I do wish they wouldn't have strayed so far from the original paint scheme. After watching the video, I see where the money went, but there should have been tighter controls on the paint accuracy.

I have a feeling the shading around the eyes and difference in skin tone won't be so pronounced in person. As good as thx217's pics are the lighting is obviously adding a lot of unnatural shading to the piece.

Personally I think the eye color looks better at the SDCC, I love the green. In the promo shots they almost looked silver, most likely due to reflection. I also like the fact that she is looking off to the side. Ads a bit of allure and sets it further apart from the regular.

Outside of the eyes though the paint app looks accurate to me. The only other difference I can see is a silver knob on the rebreather mask being black instead of silver.

The eyes only looked silver because of the reflection of white that is blurring out the green. Skin tone is what I'm talking about, as well as the suit not looking as red as it does in the proto pics. It has more of an orange tone to it. But hopefully it's all just lighting. THX's pics make me really happy to have ordered, regardless.

So, I just watched the video and I'm a bit confused. The GG rep said they are assembled here in the U.S? Does he mean the protos only were made here or is the whole going to be manufactured here?

If they are in fact made in the U.S. then the price is definitely justified.

Yeah, that was a bit confusing and he may have even been implying that, but I think he just meant they had to create every single part from scratch, and used a lot of new techniques, outside of the normal 'PF' world to create realistic pieces. I'm sure they're still manufactured in China. If not, I think Greg really would have blown up the fact they were produced in the U.S.

There is no doubt GG has really raised the bar on this piece, far beyond anything we've received before.

I see a few people are selling them on Ebay as In-Stock so they must of had them available for pick-up at SDCC? Anyone have In-Hand photos yet?
Anyone know when GG will start charging for the online preorders?
Pretty much preordered all their Con Exclusives. Now need to tactically adjust certain credit cards for certain orders!
