Moonrise Kingdom (2012) - A pair of young lovers flee their New England town, which causes a local search party to fan out to find them.

I always liked Wes Anderson´s style, but only watched this movie recently, and I loved it! It has a lot of character, gorgeous cinematography, some great dialogue and a lot of heart. Also, the two lead characters just became one of my favourite movie couples. 5/5

The Villainess 9/10 Awesome spy movie that literally could have been a great Black Widow story with some minor tweaks.

Happy Death Day 8/10 Gave it a try because Scott Lobdell wrote it. Semi predictable and concept of a girl who is killed and has to keep reliving the day over and over until she figures out who her murderer is.

Devilman: Crybaby 7/10 A Netflix original anime series. Art reminds me of Aeon Flux. Never read the magnas so not sure how true it is to the source material but overall story is mediocre at best.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)

I finally saw the last 20 minutes, haha. After reading the spoiler thread, I'm thankful I'm at best only a casual Star Wars fan and not bothered by all the diehards' complaints. 7/10

It probably became my favourite Wes Anderson film too. I´m really looking forward to see Isle of Dogs later this year.

Invaders From Mars (1986) - 3/10

What a glorious turd of a movie! If not for the wonderful selection of B-movie actors, this would get a 1/10. Karen Black! Timothy Bottoms! Laraine Newman! Bud Cort!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Darkest Hour (2017) - During the early days of World War II, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who must decide whether to negotiate with Hitler, or fight on against incredible odds.

Gary Oldman is pretty awesome in this otherwise standard biopic. It's also a very good companion piece to Dunkirk. 8/10
