The pose is similar with the up-coming Pop Culture Shock's Ryu. I think they are the same scale too, aren't they?

roughly yes as the pcs one is actually slightly smaller then 1/4th scale and this might be true 1/4th scale. The first one Akuma wasn't actually made for production iirc and was just Jerry sculpting for himself but ended up being produced and hence wasn't made with shrinkage in mind. Though these may be in scale with those, would be nice could use em to mix and match ;p

not familiar with this brand but the 1/4 ryu got my attention. Just so i understand, the $600 version on the website is JUST the resin and doesn't include paint? I am assuming painting it will cost another $500 or so?

So we are looking at a 1/4 china painted ryu for around $1000 vs the PCS 1/4 china painted ryu at $300. Is that accurate?
