Female Focused Star Wars series

I hope it's a good series but if it turns into another male bashing feminist power show I think it will crash and burn like most other female empowerment programs that try to tap into a male dominated market.

I want to be entertained and not preached to...

Weren't 4 of the last 5 Star Wars movies already female focused? And it says it will take place in an alternate timeline....does that mean a kind of Elseworlds/What If?

I would say all of them were even the Solo movie, he had to share the spotlight with Emilia Clark who got to be the hero at the end by killing the bad guy, Solo was just along for the ride.

So I guess the previous six movies weren't sausage parties? Funny, but I didn't hear all the women grousing then. Sometimes to balance the scale the other platform gets additional weights.

I think the point everyone is trying to make is that female lead movies are just fine, they just need to be good.

i dont understand why it would have to be female or male focused at all, seems like a marketing stunt that rarely works out. just make good movies with a great cast, youre welcome disney

I think that would be fair if that was specifically the point... in some of the cases it simply is not. A lot of times these threads are kicked off by someone chumming the waters and baiting like-minded sharks into a feeding frenzy. Do a search of past comments by a select few members and see if you don't notice a pattern of bias on this topic (or constant harping). They complain about a topic incessantly and single out and post anything that they believe fortifies/validates their hang-ups or their world view. There's a whole lotta instigating going on! .
