Another Flash #147 page

The week after I saw a second forgery from this particular issue (I own both the originals)- and two days after I made the thread talking about them- another page from the book pops up on ebay, this time legit.

I always thought it would be cool to have this page if only because I would have 3 pages in a row (the 1st three) from my favorite SA Flash issue.

Within a day of this being listed on ebay the seller and two competitors for the page all contact me with the obvious concerns. I looked over the page and told them all I personally felt it was legit. My honesty almost cost me around another $300 in final price but I'm on friendly enough terms with my main competitor that I was able to get him to drop out of the chase with the (joking) offer of sending him a coupon for The Sizzler, should he gracefully bow out.

Great piece. Cool deal! Interesting to see one can still string together a run of pages from the SA with patience.

Okay, got page #4 from the book:

So I've known Saul (Kirbyart.com) has had page 4 for at least four years, as I think that was about the time I first tried to obtain it from him. Ultimately I thought it was priced high so I forgot about it.

After that I end up picking up page 1 and 7 from Brian at Neat Stuff in 2011. I got page 2 in a UK auction around 2005 so now I have the first 2 pages to the story. I know page 4 is out there but told myself the only way I would bother attempting to get it is if by some miracle I could discover and obtain page 3.

Anyway, just as I'm getting disgruntled about forgeries from this book out there, Earl Geier (artist and chain comic store manager) puts page 3 up on ebay. The rest of that story is in my first post. I was excited to win it, and with OCD calling I knew what I should attempt to do. About 15 minutes or so after I win the page 3, I give Saul a call and commit to page 4.

I'm pretty much at a point where I think I have enough examples from this book.

I have a goal to maybe pick up 1 SA Infantino Flash page a year, not 2 in about 30 minutes! At any rate, I'm working on my 3rd (and final for this year!?) Infantino Flash page. Nice one with Anderson inks and Flash in every panel. Hope I can pull it off

man, 4 in a row! thats awesome! can't imagine the difficulty in finding those pages. hell, i have a hard enough time finding DPS from Invincible let alone the bookend pages to one of those. giving me something to shoot for. great story, Bill! your collection rocks!
