Well after reading bashing comments for months, I tried to be an Attakus hater myself for a couple of hours (and 2 posts).

I guess that I'm some kind of specialist now. So here are some advices if you want to be a good Attakus hater. Please note that this list is not final (use your imagination, sky's the limit) and also note that it will allow you to be a narrowminded hater, or a regular hater, or an insidious hater.

• Try to find flaws, even the most insignificant ones. It'll allow to bash the whole statue. If there ain't any, just state it could have been better.

• No matter what character they choose to release, ALWAYS say there were plenty others to do before.

• Human likeness ...
  That's a big weakness. Use it all the time. Even if you were told Attakus had to use generic faces for the first releases (which is the absolute truth), or if they had to change details that make the new ones less "accurate" (which is another absolute truth).
  Just say it's bullsh!t. Their sculptors are just bad.

• The poses
  Another weakness, not on all statues unfortunately. So keep on bashing the "goof" ones over and over again, even if you were told Attakus couldn't choose the poses and had to follow Lucasfilm orders. Just say it's bullsh!t. Their sculptors are just bad.

• When another company releases a better statue of the same character than Attakus, it's like heaven on earth. You can use it, not only to say it's a great piece (that's not the point though, we're here to publicly hate, remember ?), but it allows you to say how inferior the Attakus is.

• Harshly criticize every time you can.
  It'll take the will to visit and post in the forum away from the actual sculptors. If there's no one to give some informations or to argue with you, it'll look like you are right.

• Try to piss off Attakus fans. It's always fun !
  You know there'll always be some people to oppose you. The most important thing is to stay very polite, don't get upset, use smilies all the time. Follow the previous instructions repeatedly. If you're good enough at it, at one point, someone will lose it, start to insult you and you'll be the victim who tells the truth. What a great strategic move !

As I already said before, these are just basic instructions. There are many variants. You can also create your own technics. As I long as you can hate ...

Now up to the real topic. I’m out of here.

Am I taking it too seriously ? No. I have lots of things in my life that are more important than the collecting hobby. When I arrived on this forum, I just wanted to share my passion with other fans. I’ve “met” great forum members, seen amazing items I’ve never heard of before, found helpful informations regarding lots of subjects. I enjoyed it that much that I’ve tried to contribute the best way I could.

But as weeks and months went by, I also realized some people weren’t there just for the passion of collecting. It seems they’re more interested in constently criticizing some specific items or company instead of enjoying stuff they like. I’m not pissed off because I can’t stand opinions that are different from mine.
I just don’t enjoy reading pointless bashing comments anymore.

D rod and all the SF staff : you have my gratitude and my respect for all the work you’re accomplishing here. I’m a proud Adamantium member and I’ll be a CS customer this fall that’s for sure.

Tell you why I hate Attakus. Cause they are expensive and I don't want to start another line and kill my house fund anymore then I've already done.
Damn pieces would be too cool to get.

You just described all statue haters.

All those points can be used to describe a Diamond hater, Sideshow hater, Gentle Giant hater, Hard Hero Hater, Bowen Hater, DC Direct Hater.
There will always be someone who hates something that others adore.
Just ignore those that just never shut up about it.
