Conan is young during the books and ages over time, so he doesn't have to look rough as ---- all the time.

True....but he was always fierce and brooding. I like the illustrations above from Kelly. Not a fan of the one on the previous page.

Yes I know Kelly did that one also. I have all the Frazetta prints ...he's my favorite. I loved Barry Smith's young Conan in Marvel and Bucema's Conan too.
I want to see what Troy did with the head sculpts. His SS fury reminds me of Bucema. I'll be happy with something like that.

I think Cary Nord did a brilliant job on his run on Conan. A cleaner look than Buscema but captures Conan perfectly imo.
Frazetta, Kelly and Buscema all ----ing great though, defining. I'll throw Neal Adams in there too.

Looking at Buscema's Conan just sends shivers down my spine...there's almost a mystic quality to it
