Depends on how long it would take for him to deduce Doomsdays reactive adaptation ability, after which he would quickly realise that direct confrontation would be pointlessly bloody for the team and send him to another dimension using one of his contraptions.

I'd love to see that fight! (even th ough it would probably be very similar to a Hulk battle.....Johnny's flame doused by a clap...Sue faints from backlash against the beast punding againt her forcefiled....Ben rushing in headfirst and getting his ass handed to him....then Reed getting stretched to maximum capacity and passing out...then he comes to and stretches an arm back to the Baxter Building and brings a device that sends Doomsday to the Neg. Zone or somesuch place.)

I thought he only adapted (evolved) after he's killed and resurrected.

His ability will allow him to make "defensive/offensive evolutions" on the go too, aside from the most vicious attacks.

Ah Doomsday, what a craptacular character, would Dr Doom find a way of beating Doomsday? If so then so would Reed, theres no way they will beat him through sheer force though, only the Hulk could do that.

Great question; I'd say yes. If Reed can take out Galactus, Anhillius, etc., he can find a way to defeat Doomsday. Like Rich said, it would be all about containment...but it'd still be a good story.

Give Reed enough time and he'll bring down just about anyone. If the FF had to just fight it out they would lose. Reed's tech will have to win the day.

To complete the title of the thread:

They'd die in an all out slugfest. If Reed had prep time or knowledge of the character then FF would prevail IMO.
