I prefer Dick's relationship with Bruce more now than when he was the boy blunder. Tim is too much of a smarty pants. And, Jason was just a loudmouth moron.
IMO, it would have made much more sense to see Jason survive that debacle (not a back from the dead scenario) with the Joker and then become a serious baddie.
