Yeah, PI is right...the statue was poorly received when it was first shown. Even the proto couldn't capture the likeness of Cavill's face. It seemed skinnier, and judging from your pics the sculpt looks as if it's stretched out further making him look even skinnier than before. Hot Toys did a fantastic job on their little head sculpt. From what I see so far the costume looks cool too.

It is.
Overexposed, but shows the suit:

It was well received... By those who get what a piece like this is. It's a sculpture not a snapshot. This is why we call Trevor an artist. This is an EXQUISITE representation of Cavill as Superman.
As for the production piece, I believe the sculpt is in there - might require a repaint. And the suit is phenomenal. Far better than the rubber doll clothes on the HT piece (which is an awesome piece too, BTW). I'll let my full opinion form when mine is out of the box.

Looking at his other pictures, I'm not too worried about the longish looking neck, I assumed it was probably lens distortion.

If you see the picture where they put MOS next to the Superman PF, the MOS neck is twice as long... no idea why since Cavil doesn't have a long neck..
I really had high hopes for this to turn out great.... I wanted a MOS statue in my collection so bad.... another let down...

Just saw Dave's pictures, I think they just confirmed his neck length is the same as the proto's, to me anyway.
Perhaps his neck looked longer to you as compared to the PF because his head is raised higher than the exclusive head which is looking down? Guess I'll find out when I collect him in probably a few months' time.

I noticed the trim on his suit on the prototype was a different color where the production version has the same color as the main suit color so it all blends in....
The production version kind of looks like a 50 year old guy who got a face lift...
