Cash rules, yes, but Japanese nationalism is well known. It is interesting that Capcom has done many exclusives, but Dead Rising 3, which was farmed out to the third developer in the series, and second western developer in the series, is the only "non-Japanese company" exclusive.

I see what you did there. Clean your pants.
Street Fighter V...anyone else notice destructible environments? It took me a few viewings. Was totally just watching the characters and specials. Also, I was kind of right about the art. It looks like specials have a painterly or watery effect. I like it.

This guy told me that Capcom approached Sony and not the other way around.

Ok. Well, its looking more and more like Sony is funding development for the game. Not just buying an edclusive deal. That essentially means that SFV is basically a first party exclusive and no version of sfv will ever come out for xbox. Looks similar to the deal Nintendo made to get Bayonetta 2. SFV might not even exist if Sony hadnt backed it. Capcom's been in pretty big financial trouble, so that seems plausible.
Theres a rumor that MS was given a chance to get involved and because they didnt want cross platform play, the deal went to Sony. Not sure if there's any truth to that though.

If they do care. I'd go talk with SNK and make a really special game.

Interesting.
Cross platform as in Xbox and PC?
Or cross platform as in Playstation, Xbox and PC?

I cant imagine them not caring. SF is too big a franchise to not care about missing out on. Im sure SNK could make another great fighter, but no matter how good it is, it wont sell as well as a new SF will.

I assume capcom wanted ps4 to xbox cross play as well and MS didnt want that...I can't see why theyd care if it was xbox to pc. As of now, its going to have ps4 to pc which I think is pretty unique.

MS is very protective of the "Xbox Live" network they've created. They have butted heads with EA over access issues like this before. The steps MS takes to try to ensure network stability and cut down on cheating makes it easy for me to believe they wouldn't want any cross-platform play.

No but this weird situation has been created where people will be asking, what's the best fighter on Xbox....and I think they are going to need a better answer than KI.

So I read some articles that said this game is being created from the ground up solely for the PS4.
Which leaves me wondering what happens to the Japanese arcades....
