Fedor vs Antonio Silva this weekend...
This Saturday marks the return of Fedor Emelianenko after his surprising loss to Werdum a few months ago...it tarnished his "undefeated" persona and put doubts in the fans minds that he still is the best all around fighter in the world...Werdum broke his arm and the rematch was put on hiatus, then Strikeforce and M1 Global tried to line up Overeem, Strikeforce's Heavyweight Champion, but he had prior commitments...so now they have set up a Heavyweight tournament that starts this weekend and his opponent is Antonio Silva, (he is the 1 with the big foot print tattoo on his back)...any thoughts or has Fedors reign come to an end? Honestly I would love UFC to sign him but politics keeps that from happening....

I'm actually really looking forward to this tournament. I think Fedor beats Silva then Kharitonov beats Arlovski.

They are on the same side of the bracket so they would have to meet in the semi finals if at all. My mind was blown when I saw that as this is the finals everyone would be wanting. I guess they were worried one of them would get knocked off before the finals.
I think Fedors got this one pretty easy. Silva is the weakest in the tournament IMO. I'll be pulling for Kharitonov in his fight. Think that one will end in a KO for sure.

Yeah a long time between Fedor fights. Could be because his hand is a mess. One of my friends who does online gambling said you can bet on whether or not he will break it again in this fight. Personally I hope he wins the whole tournament, beating Overeem & Barnett and then retires. I don't think there will ever be a UFC deal so this is as close to going out on top as I think it will get for him.

I would love for him to make the move, would have liked it even more if he had done it years ago. I just don't think it will happen.

Its that damn M1 Global promoter...Dana wants Fedor to proove worth...Fedor n M1 think they already did...its a fine line cuz both sides make sense...but damn M1...look how long it took a fighter dropped from UFC to crack that undefeated streak...imagine if he had been here the whole time...would his record be as good?
