its awful quite around here...

I see a lot of the major statue companies are rather quiet

while XM studios are so aggressive trying to take over the statue world

eventually when the Bowen has the Marvel License, will it be too little too late?

It is hard to tell. Right now, Randy is going through a divorce so it is understandable that he is taking the time to sort things out in his life.

In my opinion, there will always be a market for 1/6 scale pieces due to size and price point, so there is no reason to worry. With or without Bowen designs, collectors will continue to buy statues of this scale. Right now, it is the best time to stack up with Bowen pieces that were at some point out of reach. Prices are more reasonable in the aftermarket and at the Vault.

Agreed. I'd only buy a select few statues from them, that's for sure. Cable is one. Deadpool might be next. And then I'm done.

Back to the topic. I really enjoy my 1/6th collection even though a lot of people prefer the 1/4th scale stuff. Not only are they cheaper and smaller, you could also display them with a theme or as a diorama, while it would be hard to do so with 1/4th pieces. That being said, I'm gonna be patiently waiting for the day when RB is ready to produce statues once again.

For the meantime...all my money shall go to PrototypeZ.

Well theres reasons for Bowen not producing at the minute isn't there...

I don't know if i'd say that XM are so aggressive that they are trying to take over the statue world, for one they only make Marvel statues so that's only a small percent of the market, also if you can live with the prices it's still another thing to get a hold of the bloody things...

Once they get a proper USA/Wolrdwide license and their stuff could be bought through normal channels then i'd say they had a better chance of giving some competition.

Like others have said though their competition isn't Bowen.
