For now, this is only a mock-up of the paint wrapped around the digital sculpt so the details like eye pupil placement are still factors we'll be adjusting as we see physical examples.
Here's the original Frank Thorne art the pose was taken from.

We did just launch about 24 hours ago, so we still have plenty of time to reach goal and beyond. Unlike most crowdfunding campaigns you may be used to, we don't need to reach our goal in order to make the statue. We simply us sites like Indiegogo as a way to reach collectors and provide them the means to reserve our statues before they go to retail, but this statue is being made either way.

When will we see a real painted prototype? Also - when is the deadline to back this? Great idea, but need to see a real piece.

Even though this piece is based on a comic cover, the bar for this character has been set rather high by the last two renditions from Sideshow.
Granted, this piece is a very different interpretation of the character.

I like the actual painted pics on this - it is pretty faithful to the reference art which is not an easy 3D conversion.
