The pose is based on this Adi Granov cover, which the 1st comiquette was based on, there was also some promo art for the first film showing the MK 3 in this pose.

LOL. the original was also one of the most re-casted statues of all time and gave the XM boys their start in the grey market.
I can't believe this is what they chose to do, a poorer version of what they already released.

It is not just a promo art. Iron Man gave this pose on stage in Iron Man 2 film but Yeah, The origin of the pose is Adi Gravon cover from comics though.
I can't believe people forget about the pose and Sideshow pieces so fast. It is like yesterday to me.

It's iconic to the MCU and the fans who didn't really read the comics. So I get they are likely going for that audience. Guessing sideshow believes MCU Iron man sells greater than a comic iron man.
Tho ground pound doesn't make a very interesting statue IMO, the last Iron man statues were more interesting to look at.
I'm guessing they will dip from both the MCU and another from the comics maybe in the next few years.

More of the same characters. Not to mention re-hashing the same pose and concept. The round black sub-base on this look like a step back.

The original Extremis armor comiquette is amazing though. More people need to just go back and pick one up.

I have no interest in this.
From some angles, the left arm pose looks weird.

So not only is SSC rehashing characters, but now almost exact statues? This is embarrassing.
