There also tend to be some people in these situations who wait to see how much is being produced of something before they decide to order or not. Don't ask me about that situation lol......it's not something I get. But in the end doesn't matter. Their money, their decisions.

I don't usually do it myself, but the reason is pretty simple. Pieces that end up with a huge ES are a) usually available in-stock for a long time, often ending up with Sideshow deals like double rewards, 10% off or free shipping and b) often cheaper to buy in the aftermarket.
For example, right now there are three Prime 1 statues on Sideshow's site that have various deals including $75.00 off, 10% off WITH free shipping and the last with $50.00 off (one of these also only has an ES of 350 LOL).
