I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the movie. I just hope we get a good villain for once. Sick of Marvel short changing its villains.

Madame Gao is Marvel's best villian right now.

She is damn ruthless.

I wonder if his contract is over? He hasn't been in any of the MCU movies since what, Winter Soldier?

Last I had read, and this was a while ago, he has two films left. My guess is he'll be back for the next two Avengers films, and then either sign a new contract or sail away with Cap and Tony Stark.

Looks like a popcorn movie. Fun but formulaic and not a lot of substance. Hoping for the best.

I actually thought that line about the suit was full of substance but I get your overall point. I find myself getting tired of the same old stuff from Marvel. Hence why i have enjoyed the last two movies from Fox.

I LOVE Spider-Man but I was actually disappointed at Iron Man and the MCU seemingly hijacking the film. Honestly all I needed from Stark/Iron Man was that car scene from the first trailer to entrench Spidey in the MCU and then leave Peter to his own devices for the balance of the film. The ASM films failed because Sony was forcing a cinematic universe, not because Spider-man cant thrive on his own. I thought the most compelling parts were Peter and Ned's interactions and that Keatons Toombs seemed far more vicious than our typical MCU villains.

It's funny that every casual/lay fan of CBM's I have spoken to about the trailer was pretty melancholy anout the trailer. The lack of buzz surrounding it on social media, particularly in light of chord the JL seemingly struck, is indicative of the reception to this trailer methinks...

We have to remember this IS under Disney, so they have to cover their bases with a large audience and appease parents too.

Taking this into account, it absolutely will be a fun, popcorn flick for the masses.

The last thing I would expect is a darker, edgier, foreboding Spidey film.

Doubtful this will ever happen on Disney's watch.

Given how absolutely terrible and paint by numbers Doc Strange was, I have to agree.
