She looks okay, I do like how the base is a bit more incorporated (like Mera jumping out of the water/Platinum merging with hers etc). Nothing amazing here, but still a nice piece.

Although, 7.75"? Really?? Surely DC made a mistake there?
If she's in line with the other girls at around 10", then I'm all for it! Otherwise she will look tiny next to the others.

I started to collect these but gave up after the poses became so boring.

Yeah the Bishoujo one is pretty hawt... But with Bishoujo's nobody notices the bases anyways

As much as I too dislike the new CGotDCU bases I am not a fan of that Koto Starfire's "phallus mount" concept LOL.

I saw the whole phallus-rock thing in the sketch, but I think Koto sculpted it in a way that no longer looks like a phallus. If anyones junk looks like that, I would recommend seeing a doctor, lol. I like the bishoujo. Everything flows better. The DC piece doesnt have a great flow. The hair is also kind of weak. It needs to be bigger. It looks like they are skimpin.

They're still using porcelain for the Cover Girls line right? You'll never get hair as detailed as the Bishoujo statues using that material. The thin strands of hair would be far too brittle. While the Bishoujo statues can get away with it via being made from Polyresin.

The boots look very silly. I have the original Cover Girls statue already, and i'm going to buy the Bishoujo version as well. This one not.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Starfire Bishoujo. Most of her looks great, but I don't really like the claws or pointy toes. Small details, I know, but that's all I would be able to focus on if she were in my collection :P

As for the New 52 statue, size of the statue aside, I think she just looks cheap and lifeless. They are on the right track with her ankles but I believe the flared boots are supposed to go all the way down to her heels, not stop at her foot making it look like she has swollen ankles. Not that the whole idea of the flared boots was a great design choice by DC when they launched the New 52 in the first place, but it's better than this sculpt.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I've been accepting of the New 52 in nearly every regard barring Starfire.. Joyless and poorly handled. This statue does nothing to distance itself from that, in my opinion. I'll be sticking with the AH piece.

As far as the bishoujo goes, the phallic rock seemed like more of an issue in Shunya's illustration than with the actual figure haha. Koto did a decent job at toning down some of the suggestive elements.

I was really hoping to see some more unmapped territory with the new Artgerm line. Cassie Sandsmark in particular would almost assuredly warrant a purchase from me. WW, Catwoman and Harley were/are the only repeats I was anticipating (in a similar fashion to the recent Ivy re-do).
