Was E.T possibly a Jedi or Sith Lord?

So I was reading a few conspiracy reports on movies and came across this one and it actually caught my attention more than others. Was E.T. ( The Extra-terrestrial )
A Jedi or maybe even a Sith? Here are a few clues/facts.

1: E.T had Healing abilities. Possible Sith lineage? As seen with Rey
2: E.T was able to take over Elliot’s mind with ease. A force bond if you will.
3: He was able to bring life back seemingly from the dead. Including himself - a Sith trait not a Jedi trait.
4: he recognized Yoda (kid dressed as Yoda during Halloween)
5: His people were part of the Galactic Senate. (Was he the one actually there)
6: Force levitation (Bike scene most notably- which he wore a”robe”) there were other times in the movie he used the force to move things.
7: used possible Force projection to “phone home”?

And remember George and Steven are best friends. So this could easily have been a crossover of sorts before E.T’s race (Asogians) became Star Wars cannon.

Could he be one or the other? Or maybe even a Grey Jedi?
What do you guys think?

I don't beleive E.T. could take over Elliot's mind, they were just connected so when E.T. got drunk Elliot felt it...

Maybe not really his mind so to speak but he basically takes control of his life force. Binds the two together. Which then in turn makes him his puppet and uses him when he needs him. Like when he was dying, did he steal his life force to survive which then broke the bond between them. .?

You could be right..but in Star Wars lore ( as far as I know) there has not been anyone other than Jedi or Sith that could use so many uses of the force. The ones that are that force sensitive are usually picked up and trained as younglings. Why would and how could there be an entire race of force sensitive beings that are part of the Galactic Republic and knowing the Jedi are watching over the council not to have one trained?

Because E.T.s are special. The Jedi just get all the press.

If ET could fly and all those other powers, how is it he got stranded? why not fly back to the ship and not get stranded?

Did his crew mates not flip out and start a search to retrieve him once they realized he was missing? or did they think him a jerk to leave behind. Only reluctantly coming back when they get a signal?

Yeah pretty sure the implication is that he was traveling alone far away from home.
