The Dark Rift is a Plague that was killing all life in the Galaxy,stars suns planets,people (exception) Humans.
The plague was also killing off Reapers at a fast pace through Dark Space effecting their Organic forms,thus using a synthetic means to (Preserve) and harvest all life to stay alive....using Human DNA.
Thus in Mass Effect 2 using Collectors as a means to spread the virus to others leaving only humans to harvest as there was no means to save the other races because of nature selection.
The Reapers building the Mass Relay's was desperate,to week to travel by dark space alone, they built the Catylist and Citadel by Mass Relay travel and to preserve brain function.
The Drak Rift thought to Effect all Reapers,All for exept one like Dis.
The other Reapers tried to attack Dis to harvest him as seeing he was the only one to have had a DNA change by selection.And a conection to the Shepard.
And the only Organic Laviathan still able to travel through Dark Space without the need for Mass Relay's.
This September should be one hell of a ride.

No,It's the whole story it's based off of.
I can't get into details,but it also sheds light on what realy happend to the Batarian Colony.
It's like what happend in Bringing Down The Sky in ME.
But in more detail.
And this Laviathan has a persanal conection with the Shepard.
And the Reaper Laviathan has no conection with other Reapers to harvest life.
Basic:Catylist left him out because it shows the Reapers weekness....that's all i have to say because i could get in alot of ---- that's for sure.
This is why the Citadel worked against the Reapers because it gave them function.
This is also why it was in the form of a human child and spoke despratly without giving anything away,even know that humans are fragile,so are they.
They needed a _ _ _ _

I'm not doubting what you are saying. I just don't want to know key story elements before finding out first hand from the game itself. It would be like if you revealed the conversation that Shepard had with Sovereign on Vimir from ME 1.

You will be very happy,and i would not go into any details about the little talk with so and so.lol
And for what i've seen of the DLC first hand.closed doors.it's worth more then $10 bucks that's for sure.

There was 1 in ME and 1 in ME2
If you played Bringing Down The Sky in ME1
You have an added dialog talk with a Bratarian named Balak in ME3.
This will shed light on the Organic Dreadnought of Dis.
