I quit buying comics a few years ago. What's causing the increase, the price of a few sheets of paper or increased writer/artist pay or having to spread that cost over less copies printed?

No, definitely not worth it in any type of economy. As Vince-Vell said, why pay that amount when you can finish it in a few minutes?

stopped reading a while ago. i will get trades thoguh if i really want to read something. if teh increase is for writers then it is a total waste of money at this point

I'm trying to be more selective and cut down my list to at least 5 titles per month.
Seriously the majority of both Companies weren't worthy at $ 2.99.
