New Batman Costume?

Drives me nuts. The last 10+ years have shown us that, with very few exceptions, minor-to-radical costume changes that cause all this reaction from fans eventually revert back to the classic look.

Examples of this over the years are Batman, Superman, Captain America, Spider-Man, Hawkman, Fantastic Four...the list goes on. Some exceptions are Thor, Catwoman, Iron Man...all of whom have seen evolutions in their costumes that have been improvements. But, really, for the most part, I now just shake my head at these changes, especially for A-list characters, knowing that they’ll go back to their classic looks eventually.

I do read Batman but I have not read the Joker War yet (a little behind in my comic reading) but I do believe that this is a costume that is part of the storyline and is not a costume that Batman will be wearing after #100.

Correct. It was only “important” for this storyline. If much of anything from Joker War can even be considered important. It was a good idea but the execution lacks.
