The people buying to flip now are foolish. What they needed to do was just hold on to the damn art and sell it in a few years. Who's to say that Jim doesn't hang up him copics for a bit? The value would have been there, if not more.
Must be nice to have money to burn on poor "flip" investments. Dunno what that life is like

Yeah, those were not quick flip candidates for sure, especially considering we don't know if/when they will be published. IIRC, the one were someone took a bath was not a planned flip but a "I need the money badly" scenario (which is another topic). I haven't heard much on this series in any light - still curious if it has more life, is over, will anything be published, etc. With all that is going on within DC, it isn't really a surprise. I am sure more news will eventually come out.

as i highly doubt these will ever be covers as advertised, i wonder if that is a factor in some wanting to offload them sooner than later.

Yea, they might not be covers, but Lee art is Lee art. It should only go up in value or at least hold it.

In time some will. Others won’t . The subject matter is key . I feel like selling Lee pieces like this imo is not smart for now because moving forward I can’t see him doing commission ops in near future . With con season all but dead and maybe for good , that was only place you could hope to get one. He may decide he’s done and then a frenzy of buying to get anything in aftermarket could occur. Whatever happens he’s without a doubt one of the biggest names in the industry

like Subby said, sure the Bat family stuff will likely hold it's value, but some of the more obscure ones are dead in the water if they don't get used as covers.

updated the totals
If anyone sees any incorrect numbers let me know and I will update. I also look to be missing a few artists contributions so if there are results there please let me know as well.
More than $800K raised is pretty impressive!

Per Jim's Instagram, he's about finish off the final 7 for the charity series. Two to be posted soon on eBay.

Yep. He did a Poison Ivy today. She isn’t part of it, but he is warming back up!
