Cal... Our Captain of the wheel was gonna (Joe) but he had to jet out of town on business and sadly couldn't fit it in this week. I think he should review it for next week as a bonus... what do you say Joe?

I say absolutely! Callahan, my Best of the Spirit trade review was meant to complement my review of the new Spirit comic. Alas, I left KC on Monday for an assignment in LA and didn't get home until 1am this morning. My copy of Spirit #1 is waiting for me and, after Batman/Spirit two weeks back, I can not wait to read it.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

It's centered around the FF, but features appearances by everyone. (Wyatt Wingfoot and Thundra, oh my!)

I'm loving this book and am very doubtful that the anticipated Stan Lee and Romita Jr version will clear the bar set by this one.
Alan Davis is awsome for that reason, he'll pull out Wingfoot and Thundra whrere they are all but forgotton in the main Marvel books. His stories, are fun, and they build off the history of the characters. As stated in the other thread, no one could take Kirby's place, but he and Davis are cut from similiar cloth. Great stuff, makes me miss Marvel.

I only bring hugs of pain and shame. Not consolation, sorry
