Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

silver surfer opportunity
If given the chance would you jump on a chrome silver surfer for $500 (not to resale)? Im on the fence. I really like the statue but never spent that much on any collectible before
this is the one where he is standing upright on the rock

IMO No, too much for something that just sits there.
Depends on how long you'll like this hobby for; some people will collect for years while guys like me get bored of it after a year or so.
Now I just lurk the forums looking at the Sculptors Corner lol.

I'm still a big fan of statues - love to collect them!
If this is a personal grail for you then yes. If its something you just "like" then no

This was the statue that peaked my interest in to this hobby and it is my grail, so yes for me. $500 is a reasonable price as well. I went the bootleg route by purchasing the faux bronze and custom chroming it because when I was looking to buy the original chrome version it was hitting the $800 range.
IMO, Chrome Surfer and the retro Cable are BD's top two statues and are definite grails.
