Well Netflix has gone on record about their series running 3-4 seasons tops. It doesn't bode well for a long series run unless it gets picked up by another producer.

I guess they could show the failed attempts to find him, but knowing the reality might kill a lot of the suspense. They could also just finish briefly showing the retired detectives with aging makeup reacting to him being caught. But ya'll are right it's weird showing his scenes if they aren't going to dive deeper into it or maybe it's just showing the progression of a serial killer and they just chose him?
