I love the hooded portrait, not to crazy about the unhooded one, for me the unhooded smiley face doesn't really match what his body is doing.

I think both portraits are good and what you would expect from a New 52 Shazam!

The light up feature on this was really cool. The screaming portrait is great IMO. This will definitely need a high display perch though.

The hooded version definitely looks better because the face is mostly hidden. The unhooded version is just terrible IMO, and my plan was to display it without the hood. Never liked the addition of the hood in the comics anyway. Really had high hopes for this, but from what I’ve seen, there is not one company yet where I’ve been happy with Shazam’s portrait. Will probably pass on this and wait and see how their Black Adam turns out. They have some living up to do though, because from the pics, Tweeterhead nailed Black Adam.

Tweeterhead captured the Golden Age Captain Marvel pretty well. I don’t think anyone has even attempted a Jerry Ordway or Alex Ross version, so collectors with an affinity for those interpretations are left wanting.

I think if someone took the Golden Age version and modernized it a little bit then that would work for me.

The Tweeterhead Shazam as a whole looks great, but still not completely happy with either of the portraits. Now their Black Adam on the other hand looks absolutely amazing, IMO, top to bottom. But with most pieces, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. No right or wrong. Now there is a private commission I’ll be getting that I wish I could share, that’s doing an Alex Ross 1/4 scale version of Captain Marvel that looks absolutely amazing. They totally nailed it.

Guess in most cases the actual painted piece doesn’t quite look as good as the original render. In this case the teased portrait here looks better. Similar to the painted piece, but something seems different. Maybe just me. Wish they went a little younger with the portrait.
