You have time to find a suitable surface. My suggestion, if you don’t mind him out in the open take a look on Lowe’s website at garage storage shelves. They have ones deep enough for the Transformers line and the surface is finished wood. I’m using ones from Home Depot but the surface is thick wire. You can paint them, adjust them, hacksaw them to further customize height and they work with no bending. Also more affordable then furniture.
Also for all you guys and gals thinking about getting this. As mentioned already the weight on this is going to be insane. If you aren’t familiar with the new TF base with the light up feature it’s heavy as all hell compared to the hollowed out circular ones we’re used to seeing due to the electrical guts. LKO is actually lighter then his base.

I'm not a huge Transformers fan, but this piece is tempting me though I wish it was cheaper. I completely understand the price due to the size and how intricate the piece is though. It would be the only transformer piece I'd end up getting but I do think it probably is the piece to get if I only get one Transformer piece. The only other Optimus Prime I really like is the Prime 1 Knight version they did with him holding his sword down in front of him with both hands. It's a tough decision and I'm not sure what I want to do.
