Vanquish

Any other Vanquish fans in here? I still consider this the single best 3rd person shooter to date hands down. If you are a fan of the genre and haven't played it yet I highly recommend it as you can find it used for about $15 or less now. Platinum Games set new standards with this game, don't miss out.

because it isn't Call of Duty, Gears of War, Uncharted, Halo, etc...pretty easy to see why it didn't sell. It has a following but many gamers are swayed by what commercials they see on TV. Sadly Vanquish was never promoted too heavily outside of game sites

its odd though, I loved Vanquish but couldn't stand any of the other titles that Platinum Games have released (Madworld, Bayonetta, MGR: Revengeance...)

Vanquish launched the same day as Fallout New Vegas. Most of the dude bros flocked to that and combined with the lack of advertising Vanquish never really had a chance.

the best part is that I picked both Vanquish and New Vegas up during the same sale a month after launch for $40. Vanquish has been played through twice and I still have yet to even open up New Vegas I'll get to it one day

I'm probably over 50 playthroughs of Vanquish, and countless hours in Challenge Mode. Challenge 6 and the God Hard difficulty have been my been my best gaming highs since I was a little kid. Perfect balance of brutal difficulty but never with the feeling of being cheap.
