Hulk LSB a "masterpiece". Good grief... The logic of this write-up suggests Sideshow has hundreds (maybe hundreds of thousands) of masterpieces.

While I do not own the piece. I think the XMStudios Sandman looks amazing!

YES, IT IS.

I already said that i bet 98% of casuals who are simply just random collectors of pop culture, knowing nothing about true art and "different" art, about paintings, about sculpts, about fine art would mock me by choosing Ryan Peterson. I was sure and i wrote it. Read it again. I predicted it!

THANK GOD, Sideshow, did not listen to casuals and gave him the opportunity to give us some magnificent LSBs.

The problem of this hobby is that 98% of collectors do not have other ART-RELATED hobbies or interests (true art, fine art).

They may like pop culture or comics but they cannot fathom why Jean-Michel Basquiat was a GENIUS and his art is OUT OF THIS WORLD. If they EVEN know Jean-Michel Basquiat (lol).

The vast majority (over 98%) of guys in this hobby dont have an "artsy eye", i have only encountered 10 guys (and im generous here) in this hobby able to discern with a single look what a sculpt by LBS or XM oozes or why Batman Who Laughs 1/3 by Prime1 looks like it was thrown a bucket of black paint all over it.

So i was ready to get mocked by choosing Ryan Peterson as the 4th one, but i couldnt care less

Look, pal. You are obviously clueless about art. Will Harbottle is a MAGICIAN.

His sculpts are SECOND TO NONE.

His Dejah Thoris. A masterpiece.
His Gambit. A masterpiece.
His Rogue. A masterpiece.
His Nightcrawler. A masterpiece.
His Harley on Wheels. A masterpiece.
His latest Psylocke. A masterpiece.

Will is our contemporary SCULPTING SEMI-GOD.

If you dont like Will's sculpts, get out of this hobby and go collect Marvel Select or old Bowens.

Will is now even above Martin Canale. He is on his own world. He simply GOATs.

So, if you dont like Will's sculpts, you can always collect Funko Pops.

Will Harbottle is a MAGICIAN.

PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.

Move on!

This list is blasphemous to say the least...lol!
I think he was just Forps back in the day. If so, he's the guy that insisted the Thanos MAQ was the greatest sculpt ever released and would be worth $6000 in the aftermarket a year or 2 after it's release. Obviously, there's a lot of hyperbole in his posts.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I love a guy who is one of the 2%, with an artistic eye, you know...a man of culture, who can identify MASTERPIECES, owning a bunch of high ES statues that are in the sideshow garage sales everyday. Captain America is a MASTERPIECE, a casual cant appreciate it! 25% with free shipping on Tuesday.

You dont get it. I do not correlate value with sculpt. For value, you should only buy 1 out of 1 (ES). I am talking about this hobby and guys trying to convince us that Iron Man 1/3 by LBS does not look like a GIANT ACTION FIGURE or that Sideshow's Zoolander Captain America (you know by who) is not a fail compared to the new (ok with an enormous ES) Captain America by Martin Canale.

I get that STRONG opinions create STRONG opposition but its time to seriously talk about this hobby.

So if you want an investment, get well-connected, train your eye and get a painting by a new, upcoming painter with an ES of 1. You can possibly turn your 100k into 2-3 millions if you are well-connected in the art-world and your eye is well trained to discern talent and "DIFFERENCE"

This hobby (comic book characters or movie characters with ES of >1000) does not suit your "investment" profile.

My 0.02 cents, pal
