Voodoo (Wildcats) from DC Direct - Sculpted by Tim Bruckner
Statue Info: 9 1/2 inches tall. Original Retailed for 139.95 in 1999. I bought it off ebay around 9 or so months ago for 50 bucks. This statue is 479/500
Here's a character that started out as pure eye candy in Jim Lee's creation Wildcats (One of the original comics from the upstart Image Comics). Wildcats was nothing more than a bad X-Men knockoff really, they had a big strong guy, a guy with claws, a stoic leader (in a bit of irony, instead of acting mechanical and with little emotions like Cyclops, Hadrian was/is a being of artificial life) and etc for the other members. When Alan Moore got his mits on these characters though, he finally turned around Wildcats and Joe Casey continued from there. The best place to read about Voodoo though is in Wikipedia. And on a side note, Jim Lee will be coming back to draw Wildcats with Grant Morrison writing and it's been confirmed this Daemonite/Kherubim gal will be in it.

The statue itself is very well sculpted, all smooth lines and colors that while not flashy aren't too toned down. Plus, Bruckners a decent enough sculptor don't you think? I can't really see any faults whatsoever with this sculpt and with the below picture, you'll see that Bruckner incorporated Voodoo's shapechanging ability into it.

Like I said before on the paint, it's very well done. I can see no bleeding and everything fits in line with what you see in the comics, no complaints here at all.

Not fully pictured is the base but as you can see, it's a simple circle with a blocky V in it. That's fine by me as this sculpt really wouldn't benefit from an overly complicated base and really, what could you put there that would be worth anything?
The statue itself is 9 1/2 inches tall. Almost on scale with the Bowen and pictured below with Deadpool to show that's it's a pretty good match and considering Voodoo isn't the most physically imposing of people, I don't mind the difference.

Overall, a great sculpt, one I was very happy to buy in June of 2005. I'm hesitant to give a 10/10 on this statue but I believe I will, the only fault I can find is that she was the only statue done of the Wildcats.
