I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Custom Gen X and 80's inspired Jubilee, and MGS Solid Snake DIY Funko Pop Figures

I started the other two Jubilee customized figures I had planned (Generation X and an 80's/Classic inspired) to go along with my prior Vampire Jubilee Funko Pop customization. I also began the Metal Gear Solid - Solid Snake that my husband wanted as well.

As with my other Jubilee, they started out as the blank DIY Funko Pop figures:

I'm really happy with them so far, and Travis loves his, so much that he's now *demanded* I do all of the other MGS Snakes for him too. It's a good thing I'm enjoying making them.

I worked on them some more today, so I'll take a pic of that progress shortly. They now only need the coats for the two Jubilees, and hair for all three, then it'll be on to priming and painting.

I know these aren't the traditional customizations, but I figured some folks might like to see them. Thanks for looking!

EDIT:
I got sick, so I haven't made too much progress, but here's an update:

Ok, I'm finally not coughing up chunks of lung every two seconds, so I got a chance to finish the sculpts on these babies. I'm really happy with them, especially the hair on Gen X Jubilee, she was the last one I did and I think I'm getting way better with the hair overall now. Paint will come soon.

Edit: The more I look as Snake's hair, the more I hate the front. I will have to rework that.

lol looks like somebody is hooked! they all look great, I really like the way you sculpted the hair in the back I would try to make the front look like that a little more - it looks very natural. overall great work, excited to see these finished

Yeah, the back on the Gen X one I really got the technique down. Sadly, that was the absolute last thing I did that day. LOL. I'm going to redo some of the fronts and try that technique some more, and I think it's what I'll go with from here on out too. It's been quite a learning experience. And I am so hooked.

Painting has begun! Finally.

I got some nice Vallejo paints for Christmas that I'm trying out. It goes on so smoothly.

Small update:

It's only one coat on the yellow, I'll be doing a darker gloss top coat on the jackets and the hair is just a quick layer to get some base color on it.
