It's rated VGF but the binding doesn't look that way to me. I wonder if that'd bring the price down to HJF's bid!

I agree. The sliding scale of professional grading really irks me, because it's not a long-lived system. A book that's graded a 2.0 in a silver age book is graded a 6.0 in a golden age. Which is okay for right now, but won't be true in twenty years, when I assume they'd grade that now much-older book higher? It's weird, and very shortsighted. And in collecting, shortsighted means nearly useless.
Love to have it, but yeah, the extreme wear at the binding seems pretty major.

cool book but I agree about the grading inconsistencies depending on the era ... buy it now, it will be an 8.0 in 20 years ... LOL

Thats cool got a 9.4 myself, I leave it in the guest bathroom as a reader copy for my sister-in-laws kids when the come over.
