Beckham Delivers!

I know 90% of the forum members could give at rats ass about Futbol (Soccer). But it was great to see 66,000 people at the Meadowlands in NJ last night. To see The NY RED BULLS vs. the LA GALAXY.
The Galaxy, if no one has heard yet aquired David Beckham this past winter for an estimated $100 million plus bonuses and extras.
Even though the NY Red Bulls won, 5-4, Beckham had 3 assists for the Galaxy's 4 goals. He looked a little shakey, but the way he sets up his plays, moves the ball foward is amazing. And all fans know about his famed corner kicks and kicking abilities.
He was great to the fans, who booed him at first. Then at the end of the game came out and waved to everybody, signed a few autographs, and gave his game shirt to a lucky fan. What a class act.
This was also one of the better match's I've seen at Giant's Stadium since the World Cup in 1994.

He's the consummate professional, despite all the potential distractions. I'm delighted to hear he's doing well.

Basketball is a much safer sport to watch.

Yeah, I don't get that either.

My team has had the worst start to their season, but after I turn that TV off, it goes out of my head.

I do appreciate the athleticism the sport requires. And all that constant running, whew!

Except when the players are out for the night and come into the club where you are. Then people DIE!
This goes for football players (American) too!
