Kits?
I keep seeing "kits" used in this thread. Are the Prototypez statues like model kits? If I purchase one do I have to put it together and get it painted by someone?

Yes they are a kit company as now with licensed kits (but never know what they will do as the company grows). So you have to put them together yourself or hire someone.
If you want to get into the hobby, there is shows like Wonderfest and Jeseyfest with airbrush classes that introduce you to painting up kits as a hobby. There is also a home grown section on this forum with lots of tips and people to help you out if you choose to try them yourself.
On my youtube channel i have lots of videos that can help you get started and show whats involved with them.

Or you can build & paint them yourself, or have someone do both the build & paint for you, or....
Thats the beauty of these; You can pretty much do whatever you want with them making the possabilities endless

I know from past experiences that I can't model or paint lol. On average, what's the cost of a kit itself (let's say 1/6th scale) followed by "average cost" to have it built and painted.
Thanks for any help you guys

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Kit $220-$260
Paints and Assembly - $300-500
So approx. $500-700 for a completed piece.

Hey guys...quick question. What's the material used in these PrototypeZ kits? Are they the same as the ones used in Bowen and Koto statues?

they are solid casted PU which are more superior than resin statue. Secondly, PU is not as brittle as statue. hope this help.
