I didn't hear the same from old french soldiers who also were evacuated.
Maybe not, maybe they handled their time there better, maybe they didn't see the same things. But I'll take the word of a soldier that was there and is speaking about it.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

When you're doing a movie about historical facts, you need to be accurate on the facts.

We should have seen many boats : more destroyers than shown on the screen.
We should have seen military vehicles on the beach as it was the case.
We should have seen an air battle as it was the case with many planes involved : Messerschmitts, Stukas, Heinkels, Hurricanes, Spitfires. We only see 3 Spitfires, two Heinkels. And we barely see two Stukas...
And it seems there were no Messerschmitts int he movie but Bucchons instead...
Heinkels are bombing boats... but it's not the best plane to reach the target. We should see Stukas instead who can bomb a target within 3 meters.
In the movie at the beginning, the british soldiers are fired by german soldiers. But at that time they're were outside Dunkirk due to the french army resistance.
And we see post 1950 buildings, mobile harbour crane that didn't exist prior to 1950.

Just thinking the people behind the movie didn't do the job correctly with 200 millions dollars...
The movie lacks CGI effects to give more authenticity and accuracy.
For me it's Nolan worst movie

Just take a look at the Atonement and you see what Dunkirk's beaches should look like during a great sequence shot.
I do agree with a lot of your points on the movie. I was so looking forward to it . As i pointed out on my previous post i gave it a 5/10.

Valerian and The City of a thousand planets. 8/10

It was really entertaining. I think the multidimensional bazaar and how you get into there, how you get things in and out of there were unique ideas.

Lady Macbeth (2016) - Set in 19th century rural England, young bride who has been sold into marriage to a middle-aged man discovers an unstoppable desire within herself as she enters into an affair with a worker on her estate.

Don't let the prim and proper-looking poster fool you, this movie is evil. 7/10

Dunkirk - 5/5

For me, best movie of the year so far. Just don´t go expecting your typical blockbuster, the movie has very little dialogue and the story is mainly told visually, with 3 different time lines taking place almost in the same place. It´s an experimental movie and probably the most ambitious movie by Nolan. And man, Hans Zimmer just keeps getting better and better each day.
