I booted up SFV yesterday, and got thinking about the Laura Matsuda piece again..

Some questions:

When Cammy arrives, will she be shorter than Laura?
..or is the plan to simply make all the pieces the same height?
Are the vest neck straps as long as they should be, as they look short?

Is the no 5 large enough on the vest?
Does it say SEAN 5 on the underside of the vest?
Is the hair style at the rear the same as the 3D game model?
Shouldn't the green strip be thicker along the side sections compare to the vest neck strips?

Is the top cornrow too far right/down?
Are the ear-rings large enough?
Are the eyes too large? (yes)
Are her breasts too small? (yes)

Part of me considered picking this piece up as it just might be the only LM piece to ever be made.
Part of me wants to hold out for something more accurate.
Part of me gets angry at the sculptor for not paying enough attention to the subject matter.
Why didn't PCS simply get access to the 3D game data, like they did for Chun-Li 1/6 scale?

Photo from Facebook. Laura out in the wild, the box atleast. Can't wait to see how the factory piece turned out.
Until images surface of production pieces, i refuse to pre_order. Ideally i want Laura wearing green in a fighting pose

I think they fixed the front hair issue using paint, not sculpt. Difficult to tell in those images.
Piece looks close to proto. The eye's irises possibly look smaller.
They forgot to add the text SEAN 5 to the rear of the yellow vest. Since Capcom approved the piece, looks like they missed it also?

The leg's are possibly the most accurate aspect of the sculpt.
The water base appears to have turned out good.
I will be passing on this piece. The portrait looked off from the beginning.
The 3D artist should have spent more time studying the hair style. The top cornrow should be shift more to the top, left.
I'll hold out for Laura wearing green in a fighting pose, with bigger boobs, bigger hands

Statues on the floor? Surely you could put them somewhere else?

There is a video review up: (search)
Laura Street Fighter V Statue by PCS Collectibles - Season Pass Series - 1:4 Scale

The reviewer likes the piece, but mentions various issues. Foot peg fails to fully insert. The clear base feels cheap. Like he says, for such a simple piece, you would have thought they would have got everything correct. He mentions issues with the casting and paint app.

I would possibly pay $200 tops for this piece. In the meantime, its an easy pass.

Not a bathsuit collector, but I'm glad to see she did turn out much better than Sakura.
She looks pretty stunning

On Facebook there have been about 4 collectors post images of Laura M. Most seem happy. The way the foot keys into the base appears to be hit'n'miss with some reporting a slight gap. Also, the hands appear to be held in left hand with a peg, right hand with a magnet. Someone else reported the semi submerge rock as a gap where it exits the water. Any gaps between the foot and the rock entering/exiting the water could kill the illusion of something being one piece. Part of me is attempting to sell the piece to myself, part of me is telling to back off, and wait for a better price further down the road.

Something else i noticed that fails to make sense. The gold rings on Laura's arms should all be the same size.
On each are there are a number of loose gold rings, and one fixed gold ring where the join is. From what i have seen so far, it does not appear to be possible to make the loose gold rings butt up to the fixed gold ring. This fails to make sense?

Photo's: Ed Nearhouse

'WOW!! She is Awesome!! Anyone who received her have any tips on
getting the braclets on her right/non jersey holding wrist? I have tried
everything and am having no luck. Lol'
- Ed Nearhouse

It looks like Ed used a flash, which does the water no favours.
If you look at the first photo, PCS appear to have fixed the hair issue in a round-about way. I wonder if the sculptor fixed it that way of did the factory add something?
